Crab Roast




Ingredients 

1.       Crab -  1 1/4 kg
2.       Mustard – 1 tsp
3.       Big Onion – 2 Nos (cut into long slices)
4.       Garlic pods(big) - 5
5.       Ginger - 1 inch long (sliced long)
6.       Green chillies - 2 numbers (cut to 2 pieces in length)
7.       Tomato – 2 Nos (cut into long slices)
8.       Kashmiri Chilly powder - 1 tsp
9.       Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
10.   Coriander Powder – 1/2tsp
11.   Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Meat masala - 1 tsp
12.   Oil - 4 tsp
13.   Salt – to taste
14.   Curry leaves - 20 nos
15.   Coconut milk – ½ cup


How to Prepare
  1. Heat oil in a non stick pan.Add mustard, when it starts to splutter ad sliced  onion. Stir well. Then add garlic, ginger and green chilli to it. Sauté well. When the raw taste goes out, add tomatoes. Stir and sauté well.  When the tomatoes and onion cooked well, add the masalas and powders one by one. Stir well. It should be a thick gravy.
  2. Add the cleaned crabs to it  and add salt mix well. Cover the pan and cook it in low flame. When the crab cooked well add ½ cup of Coconut milk and curry leaves. Mix well. Allow to boil until it becomes a thick gravy. Remove from fire. Serve hot with Paalappam
