Chukku Kaappi
Ingredients
Cumin seed - ½ cupBlack Pepper - ½ cup
Dried ginger - ½ cup
Coriander seed - ¼ cup
Fenugreek - 3 table spoon
Cardamom - 4-6 Nos
Coffee powder - 3 cups ( Dont take instant coffee powder)
How to prepare
Wash Cumin seeds, black pepper, coriander seeds, fenugreek separately and thoroughly to remove all the impurities and dry properly in sun light.
Dry roast all the ingredients except coffee powder separately in a pan on low to medium heat.
Remove from pan and allow to cool it completely..
Grind all the ingredients well and mix it well with coffee powder.
Keep it in an airtight container to keep the freshness and aroma of chukku kappi.
How to make chukku kaappi
Take 2 teaspoon of chukku kappi powder in a cup and add 1 cup of boiling water to it.
Add sugar/ palm sugar/ jaggery as per your choice to sweeten it. Stir well and cover it for 5 minutes.
Then sieve it and have the freshly made chukku kappi to rejuvenate your day...

Note:
1. Better to use coffee powder without chicory.
2. Crush dried ginger (chukku) using a mortar and pestle before grinding it in the mixer grinder to avaoid any damage to your mixer grinder.
3. If you have cold or cough , you can add some tulsi leaves, cushed garlic, pinch of turmeric powder and some more pepper and chukku powder to the water and boil it. Then add this to coffee powder to get more strong chukku kappi to get a relief from cold and cough.
