Bread Butter Pudding
Its a very easy to prepare dessert with less ingredients. Its very tasty.
Ingredients
1. Bread buttered and cut in half diagonally – 6 slices
2. Milk – 450 ml
3. Egg - 3
4. Caster Sugar – 25 gm
Method
- Arrange bread in a greased dish.
- Warm the milk. Do not allow to boil.
- Beat together egg and sugar, add milk, stirring well.
- Pour the mixture over the bread, leave to stand for 15 minutes. Bake on Combi 1 (50%) for (For getting a crispy outer and spongy inner part) 15 – 20 minutes or until set and browned.
Note: You can also steam this pudding in a steel plate for 20 – 30 minutes instead of baking. But won’t get a crispy outer layer. But there is no difference in taste.You can also sprinkle 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder over it(Optional). If caster sugar is not available, use granulated sugar instead of it.but caramalise 2-3 tsp of sugar and spread over the pan. Then arrange the bread over it.
