Tomato - Mint Chutney
This is very tasty chutney. We can serve this along with Idlies, Dosas and also make as a sandwich filling. This Recipe I got from my sister Riya. But she is not using mint in this chutney. But I added mint leaves. Wow. (My experiment didn’t be a failure). Result is better than the original tomato chutney. So yummy… Thanks to Riya chichi…
Ingredients
1. Tomato – 3 Nos
2. Mint leaves – 2-3 springs
3. Shallots (Small Onion) – 20-25 Nos
4. Red dried chilli - 2- 3Nos
5. Oil – 2 table spoon
6. Salt – to taste
How to Prepare
1. Wash the Tomatoes and Mint leaves well. Cut the tomatoes into 8 pieces.
2. Peel off the shallots and wash it well.
3. Heat oil in a pan and add the shallots to it. Saute well. Add the red chillies to it.
4. When the shallots sauté well add the tomatoes. Lower the flame, cover the pan and cook for 8 -10 minutes. Allow it to cool.
5. Add the Mint leaves and salt to this and grind well. Serve with Idli. Dosa etc or use as a sandwich filling.
