Chow Chow Thoran
Many of us don’t about Chow Chow. Here I’m preparing an easy and simple Thoran using Chow Chow.
2. Shallots (Button Onion) -5- 6 nos
3. Garlic – 6-7 nos
4. Red Chilli – 3 – 4 Nos
5. Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
6. Fresh Grated coconut – ½ cup
7. Green chilly – 3-4 nos ( chopped)
8. Salt – To taste
9. Oil – 1 table spoon
10. Mustard Seeds – ½ teaspoon
11. Curry leaves - few
Method
- Take a non stick pan. Heat oil. Then splutter mustard seeds and add the crushed onion and garlic. Add dried red chillies and then curry leaves and turmeric powder and stir well.
- Then add chopped chow chow, green chilli, salt and coconut. Add ½ cup water. Mix well. Then cover the pan and cook in a low heat for about 10 - 15 minutes. Open the cover and stir fry for another few seconds. Chow - Chow Thoran is ready for serving.
