Crunchy Dates - Banana Balls
This is a crunchy and sweet tea time snack. Rich of nutrients because of banana, dates and nuts. If the banana and dates are very sweet, we can avoid 1 tea spoon sugar.
Ingredients:
Dates - 1/4 cup
Ripe Banana - 1 no
Sugar - 1 tea spoon
Grated Coconut - 2 Table Spoon
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tea spoon
Crushed Cashew Nuts - 1 table Spoon
Crushed Almonds - 1 Table Spoon
Oil - For Frying
For Batter:
All purpose Flour - 1/4 cup
Besan Flour - 1 Table Spoon
Water
How to Prepare:
Cook the Banana in a steamer. Allow it to cool. Mash Banana and Dates well. Mix all other ingredients together and add this to the dates - banana mix. Mix this well. Make lemon size balls.
For the preparation of the batter, mix the two flours in bowl. Make a thick batter by adding little water.
Heat oil in a wok. Take each ball and dip in the prepared batter. Deep fry these balls in hot oil till golden brown. Serve it hot
